best way, remove seat, then small plastics attached to tank (phillps screw) remove phillps screw on each side of tank (just foward where your knees are in riding posistion.) remove allen bolt under triple tree 5mm i think. then simply lift tank up secure it with small strap. They sell clicking style pull straps make it very easy to do. from there you can reach connectors and fuel lines. however if pulling the fuel pumpis required, the tank is going to have to come off. simple job you over half way there. just un hook lines and connectors, drop tank down remove bolt that attaches tank to rear bracket. comes right off. easy day. hope that helps.
