Hi there. I got the bike without checking anything on it, my biggest mistake ever.

My ‘14 R6 is having issue when it’s completely warmed up it starts rough idling between 1-2.5k rpm.
This is the second time it’s happened. Once before I got the fuel injectors cleaned and throttle body synced, changed all the ignition coils and spark plugs worked fine for like 5k km’s.

However it’s started to rough idle again. Didn’t clean/change the fuel pump at all.
Do you think it’s because of the bad fuel pump?

I am genuinely fed up with Yamaha :(

can you clarify your issue? rough idle can mean like bubbling water, not quite holding the right rpm and sound kinda yucky. or it can mean surging like a large analog signal.
Kinda like bubbling water, It holds up high RPM without any issue. Also it doesn’t crank up easily. Takes 2-3 tries to crank up

Thank you guys for the suggestion.

Below is the update:

1 - I changed the Air filter and rough idling seems to have disappeared (Air filter was clogged and black :p)
2 - Sputtering when starting the engine still exists.
3 - Called local authorized Yamaha for valve adjustment and this was the lead mechanic's response:
"I suggest you to change the petrol to high octane, do it for 2-3 tanks then come back if the problem still exists. Doing Valve adjustment will not solve the issue and its better to get everything changed if that's what you want (valve adjustment)" - What a response lol ( local dealer sucks)
4 - I will clean the fuel pump this week and ride on high octane fuel.

If the problem still continues I shall have the Valves adjusted anyway.
How much does valve adjustment cost?
