Hello, everyone! I did my first maintenance at home on my 2018 R6. I changed the oil and oil filter, clean/lubed the chain and tightened the chain. I have my engine light on and is not going away. I'm not sure what the reason is. Planning on just taking it to a Yamaha dealer, but wanted to see if I can fix it my self.

I turned the bike on when it was on the stand but the bike was in neutral.
did the wheel spin at all? It may be because of the traction control seeing the wheel moving but not the front. it's what happens to the R1. but after you ride the R1 the code goes away.

It sucks now you cannot run the old diagnostics mode anymore. they had to remove it to meet european emissions rules. isn't that nice? we have to put up with their shit too.

Yes, the rear wheel was spinning very slowly but it was in neutral so not sure why. The engine light didn't turn on the first time after I got the bike off the rear stand and turned the bike on that's when the engine light turned and stayed on. Also yes I did some research and noticed that Yamaha doesn't let us the diagnostics mode anymore.

Yes and still hasn't gone away. So now I'm just going to contact a dealer to look at it.
