The Dynojet quickshifter is nothing more than a momentary switch. All you need is a way to rig a switch to your shift linkage and plug it into the upper R & upper L pins on the PC3 usb expansion port.

I used an extra WOT switch from a nitrous kit.. but you can also use a pull or push type brake switch for the same result. MPS racing sells the brake sensor switch & spring combo for $15-- You'll need to fab a bracket for it though.

Ignore the green marker.. used it for mock up purposes.

To enable the quickshifter functionality in the PC software, dl & run the enable software..

I run 65ms & 15k minimum RPM for the quickshift. Be aware that the PC3 cuts fuel not spark to enable the quickshift, so if you run nitrous or FI-- cutting fuel @ high rpm can ruin your day. (my nitrous window is 9-14k rpm, shift @ 15k)

not sure why the post isn't showing up, but I got notification of this:

Can we get a better explanation/pics of the actual shift mechanism? The PC with the right software will cut the fuel and at the same time activate the shift mechanism when at a certain RPM?
You still have to manually move the shifter with your foot. You can either load it and set the activation rpm to your desired shift point, or give slightly more pressure than loading when ready to shift. It will easily change gears @ wot with not damage to your trans. It's argued that this method is actually better for the drivetrain than using a clutch.

Its important that the switch engages just before it engages the gear change.

here are a few videos that demonstrate how this works:

This article has a good writeup about quickshifters, along with a dyno test showing a 10% increase in distance when comparing standard shifting to a quickshifter. (~1100 ft covered in 7 seconds quickshifter, ~1000ft covered in same 7 seconds on a standard setup)

I think ill try it... I have a few extra window switches from the N20 kits from my car.. The hardest part i think is to mount it to where when u shift it hits the switch.. Then I am assuming you just plug the 2 wires into where it says "shifter" on the PCV then just set up your parameters.

yup, order doesn't matter.

test it / program it with a low min RPM activation point. easily the best mod I've ever done.

would this work with the PCV too???

The R6S, or 05 earlier R6 only has 4 injectors though right?

The 06+ R6 has 8 injectors with the PCV only controlling the lower 4. While this would kill the lower 4, it won't kill the uppers meaning you will create a very lean condition (and the motor won't actually be "killed"). Ideally you always kill ignition for any sort of quick shifter, or rev-limiter to prevent lean conditions. I wouldn't recommend trying to do this on an 06+ R6.

it says that the dynojet quick shifter plugs into the other port.. Is it possible to get a connector and pin it in with the window switch?
on the pc3, i used a DJ style plug repinned.

If there are upper & lower injectors on the 06+, you'll need the DJ ignition module to kill spark instead of fuel for this to work correctly.

I don't have the 9v adapter plug, can I just connect the 2 wires directly into the pins on the PC? I'm assuming order doesn't matter, just that window switch completes a circuit on the upshift.

What is the argument for quick shifters being better for the transmission?

03-05 R6 are FI.So how did you overame this?Do you have the ignition module?
