well it depends. when most people do the 15/50 sprockets they only use 116 links. you just have to see what you actually need.

does anyone know where i can find a tutorial on replacing the chain? i need to replace my chain, and dont really know how.

here is a short vid i found. chain and sprocket swap. looks like you will need a few special tools like a chain rivet tool, pneumatic 1/2" drive impact gun, cut off wheel and some sockets. i never did mine yet.
