i've done 3 different searches cant find anything on this..

little "performance" shop down the road from my house said it had a 532 chain on it, and that they didnt have one.
i've heard of 530.. but 532?

so what are my options for a chain? or chain kit?
my chain has a locked spot in it and is scraping my case.
web sites? need to order today

01 R6 champ.
stock spockets and chain on it now.

it's best to get new sprockets and chain at the same time. since ur swapping everything, u can choose whatever pitch/gearing u want.

as close to stock as possible, would rather not go through the rediculousness of changing the front sprocket if i dont have to..

but have you heard of this 532? or was this guy talking out his back side?

who has a good chain or kit? been surfing a few sites, havent found much for 98-02's

im not riding cause of this chain and its 85 all week
help a guy out, im craving a ride!

why cant i put a 530 chain on with my stock sprockets?
"pitch" <---what is that describing?

some guys change sprockets when they change chains, but only for wear..
my sprocket looks fine.. (looks)

i would rather stay with a 530 over the 520 from what i did find when searching..
and i would rather not change tooth count but i guess most kits have -1/+2

WHERE CAN I GET IT TO MY DOOR ASAP????

the chains pitch is referring to the size and spacing between pins on the chains link, the higher the # pitch, the larger the chain. so a 520 is smaller and lighter than a 530, thats why people do the 520 conversion.
the sprockets are specific to the chain pitch also, u cant mix them.

the gear ratio is printed on the sprockets, the front should be 16, and i bet the rear is 46-48, but im not sure.

u should replace both sprockets and chain at the same time, putting a new chain on worn sprockets is only gonna wear the new chain faster.

u can get a complete 520 kit for 150 ish, and its easy to replace the front sprocket.

Thanks, ill look in how too for the front sprocket switch.

Rather use the 530, this one isn't a race bike.

530 is overkill for a 600 IMO, the new R6 comes factory w/ a 525.
a 530 chain will cost a bit more than a 525 also.

im a big fan of the 520 kit tho, they are totally worth it.
