I was bleeding the back brake on 07 r6 and while I had the bleeder open on the caliper I accidentally released the rear brake. After that my brake feels way spongier than before. I bled it a few more times with no luck getting the original pressure back. Any suggestions?

Sometimes a leak at the bleed screw can be hard to detect.

This problem was a bit frustrating. At first I couldn't figure out why my brakes were taking FOREVER to bleed. Day later, mushy, mushy handle. So I rebuilt the Fleabay purchased Master Cylinder and... same problem. If I used a blow gun to clean up around the bleed screws, squeezed the brake...

It can be easier to suck in air, versus push out fluid.
As a leak-down test, use velcro to hold it for awhile.
