I am preparing to take at least one of my bikes back to stock. Both have full exhaust kits with Smog Block off plates. I understand the general concept of the AIS pump and the benefit gained from removing it. My question is, will leaving the Smog Plates installed cause issues (Error codes, bad performance, etc..) on an otherwise stock bike (stock exhaust/no fuel management), or do I need to reinstall the AIS?

Kinda realized I didn't word the question as clearly as I could have.

You are saying no as in, don't reinstall the AIS?

So I finally got around to sticking the stock headers back on this bike, leaving the Smog Blocks on.

Now I am getting white smoke/vapor from the exhaust that smells like fuel. Symptom of the missing AIS or different problem all together?
