we like to call them "thread re-directions" and not necessarily hi-jackings. Hi-jacking has such an evil overtone to it. Redirection has a an easier to swallow feel to it. both accomplish the same thing but when you do it under the guise of re-direction, you are left with this warm fuzzy feeling inside.
