didnt do anything to my old gloves though and they were just cheapies, frank thomas or something
that's very weird. maybe it's just a bad combo of both types of surfaces
yeah possibly, its even weirder the sp1s seem to be made of the same material as the cheap gloves, never mind stick with the cheapies for now, nice bruh btw :)
That's the way of the Alpinestar. Same thing happened to my GP gloves, how to fix it?
Buy better gloves. A* has gone down the drain in recent years IMO.

Rs-Taichi
Dianese
Held
Revit
heroic
Basilisk The list of better gloves go's on.

The gloves are fine honestly, the grips will wear through that material till its down to the leather.
Same thing happened too my sp2 gloves i replaced my grips with Harris and it got a little better.
No, that's pretty much a characteristic of any A* gloves I've owned or seen after some use...

I won't say their entire line of gear has gone down hill, but QC has def been questionable the last few years.
I've been extremely dissatisfied with the past two A* purchases on gloves that i've made. Will be buying something else next time. I don't even ride that much and my gloves were falling apart in like the 4th month! I ride 200 highway miles a week! Not even canyons which involve changing grip/ grabbing brakes hard or fast movements.
Super strange. Are these legit A-Star and not a hack eBay fake?

I agree with this completely. My gloves were junk (seams let go, palms did what yours did), suit was cheaply made, but my boots haven't been that bad. Id never buy their gloves again, but boots I would.

thats strange my a stars gloves held up for 20k almost..very little fraying(which was due from a low side i had)

but id also recommend dainese...top notch stuff and looks better than a stars....hope im wrong but i think a stars is going to become the next icon lol

Bought my a star gloves at a Honda Dealership.
The next Icon as far as what? Douchebags wearing it? lol. I had an icon jacket once and it was built very well... Got rid of it because it was a little big. Built way better than my brother's a*jacket that I wear sometimes when its cold. :secret
350z what the hell man! Why'd you sell your bike? You're like the only guy that I follow on here as far as paying attention to what they say. You're chill as hell.
My SP2's left glove split at the seam near the thumb. From what I've seen, A*'s definitely dropped the ball some time ago.
Loosen up your grip on the bars (youre not strangling a prostitute, remember) and dont buy cheap as A*s gloves.

pretty much lol i just dont think a stars is where they used to be...theyre starting to target the same crowd iicon goes for...iicon gear is good wont lie but come on stop making "swag gear" i used to like a stars a lot but my last few purchases with them showed otherwise...neither iicon or a stars is close to dainese imo

not sure if serious...lol but thanks all the senior guys on here are chill imo they just take time to getting used too...and it was time for something new i had 40k on it and didnt really want a sport bike as a daily commuter anymore...so a streetfighter s is calling my name :toocool:
Ya I get what you're saying. I'd like to have something else right now but its so nice not having a bike payment. I still need to buy those grips you reccomended. After picking up a plated xr600r I've kind of lost the love for street bikes lol
