I am dedicating the future ROTM threads to Matt. Look after us. :cheers

Rules:
You cannot submit a bike 2 months in a row or if you've won within the past year. Voting starts on the 20th or after 10 entries, whichever comes first and ends on the last day of the month. The bike must be your own, but it doesn't need to be just an r6.
Please take a look at past ROTM contest for ideas on how to enter your bike. Bike does not have to be an R6, you just have to be a member of the forum.

Format:
Year:
Model (R6, R6S):
Engine Performance Mods (i.e. exhaust, PC3, etc.):
Chassis/Controls Mods (i.e. suspension, brakes, clip-ons, etc.):
Accessories:
Pictures (please limit to 4):

Also, tell us why your bike should be named the Ride of the Month. Give us the whole story behind it! How did you get it? Where? Include anything that will set your bike apart from the rest...

Good luck to all, lets make this another good one.

I will go ahead and start this months contest off. Year: 2008
Model:R6
Engine Performance Mods:
PCV with Autotune
Reflashed ECU
GP Shift
Danos ECU QuickShift
BMC Air Filter
Smog block Off plates
Engine Ice Coolant
MJS Mid Pipe
Leo Vince Slip on
Ballistic 8 Cell

Chassis/Controls Mods (i.e. suspension, brakes, clip-ons, etc.):
Race Tech 1.0 Front Springs
Race Tech Compression and Rebound Gold Valve Kits
Puig Double Bubble Clear windscreen
Graves Clip Ons with Driven Gel grips
Hyperpro Steering Damper
Vortex Rear Sets
Race Tech Reworked Rear Shock with 11.6 Spring
520 DID ERV3 chain
15 tooth Driven front
45 Tooth Rear

Accessories:
ETI Tank Sliders
Cox Radiator Guard
GI Pro
Speedo Healer with top speed recall
Genuine Yamaha Rear seat cowl

This R6 came into my possession after a friend bought his Ducati 1198 back in Oct 2010. When I bought it the bike was completely stock and was intended for my wife since I had my well set up and sorted out RC51. Long story short sold the RC51, wife stopped riding and I inherited the R6. So the long and tedious process of setting the bike up for me began. Since this is a daily driver and doubles as my track bike everything was planned and thought out in my way of thinking. Why I should win this months contest? All the work, maintenance, and parts were installed by me and one a budget. This just goes to show what can be built on a budget if your patient.

Year: 2003
Model: R6
Engine Performance Mods: Straight piped 2009 exhaust
Chassis/Controls Mods (i.e. suspension, brakes, clip-ons, etc.): Ohlins rear shock
Accessories: Frame Sliders; Black w/ silver flake lower and mid fairings; reupholstered REAL leather seats; carbon fiber rear fender; tank grips; Hot Bodies flush mount front turn signals; 55w HID bi xenon kit with dual beam conversion; custom retrofitted in housing LED turn signals; fender eliminator

Pretty much stock, not heavy into performance mods as im a casual rider and not a track guy or race in the streets. More into the aesthetic look of a bike. The R6 IMO is a beautifully performing machine as is.

Figured I would give this a try again before it gets banged up this season. :D

Year: 2008
Model: Yamaha R6

Engine Performance Mods:
MJS Headers with Graves carbon fiber slip on exhaust
PCV W/autotune
ECU Flashed (ChiefSmokeDawg)
BMC Air Filter
Agg Block off plates

Chassis/Controls Mods:

Ohlin’s TTX Rear shock (Set up by Robert Jensen at Spiegler Performance)
Ohlin’s 30 mm Fork kit
Annitori RL Quick Shifter (Passion Motorsports)
Woodcraft Clip ons
Renthal Grips
Pit Bull Front/Rear sprocket -1/+1 (Agg Racing)
EK MVXZ 520 Chain
Gilles adjustable rear sets
Shermoto levers (Shermoto)

Accessories:

Armour Bodies track plastics (A-Man, Passion Motorsports)
Woodcraft case covers
GPR V4 Stabilizer
Woodcraft Sliders
Woodcraft Spools
Fren Tubo Type 4 brake lines (Agg Racing)
Yoyodyne Motoholder Fairing stay
Stahlbus Oil Drain kit
Angled valve stems (Agg Racing)
ETI Sliders (Agg Racing)
PZracing Gear Indicator (Slowboyracing)
Graves Exup eliminator
Pro Grip tank protector
Renthal Grips
Zero Gravity “Corsa” Windscreen
Brake reservoir socks (Slowboyracing)
Stomp Grip

All the work has been done by me, which has been very rewarding in itself. When I purchased the bike, the intended use was to save gas/miles on car. It started out as a Candium w/flames bike. How things change? Took the bike to my first track day in 2011. It hasn't seen the street since that day. This forum has been a great tool when looking to find ways to throw away money for mods haha.

Alright, time to enter my ride...

Year: 2010
Model:R6
Engine Performance Mods:
PCV with Autotune
Bauce Racing flashed ECU
GP Shift
BMC Track Air Filter
AGG Smog block Off plates
Engine Ice Coolant
GYTR Carbon Slip-on
Shorai Lithium battery

Chassis/Controls Mods (i.e. suspension, brakes, clip-ons, etc.):
Ohlins 30mm rebuilt forks
Ohlins TTX GP Shock (the newest one)
ZG Corsa race windscreen
Renthal Gell/Kevlar grips
GPR Steering Damper

Vortex 520 chain and sprockets (-1/+2)
Front brake lever guard
Fren Tubo Carbon brake lines
upgraded racing brake pads
HID lights
Carbon Triple Tree cover
Carbon dash covers
Carbon tank hugger fairings

Accessories:
Woodcraft Tank Sliders

Stahlbus Brake Bleeders (4)
Stahlbus Oil Drain valve

Body:
Custom painted, black, white, with attention to the natural lines of the bike.

My story:
I feel like my bike is worth a shot at the ROTM, because I did every single bit of work on it myself aside from the ECU flash. I even installed the Ohlins 30mm internals into stock forks. It's never been to a shop.

I've been riding about 2 years and this is my 2nd R6. I have no background in mechanics or any kind of thing like that.

It's extremely tight and straight.. I recently got it with just 400 miles on it, bone stock, and I transformed it completely, including the body design/paint. The line I chose that separates the white from the black on the side compliments the lines of the bike, and I've never seen this design before.

I feel that this is a one of a kind bike.

Thanks!

**EDIT**
Just installed 2013 Ducati Panigale 1199 Mirrors, which as far as I know has not been done before. I know people have installed other Duc mirrors, but the 2013 1199 Panigale has the nicest mirrors to date IMO, and I don't think anyone has been successful in making a bracket/adapter for them yet.

I am running them as turn signals and running lights.

What do you think?!

Thanks for looking!
