You should prolly rough up the surface with some 600grit or something first, youd get better adhesion. Make sure if you are painting plastic you are using a plastic primer first.

I give it a week before it starts chipping...
I guess someone has to be that guy....





Only thing I had to say was already said in previous posts, keep at it and you will get better with time.

lol thanks for those who had + feedback. keep the feedback coming. im just in hear to learn what i can about custom paint.

This is the first and only helmet I've painted. Here was my process
- strip off the nonsense graphics
- dry sand for good adhesion
- color coat
- clear coat
- wet sand

It was pretty simple and 100% rattle can. Its over a year old and a guy in the grocery store line asked where I got it done because he said it looked professional.

moral of the story.... rattle can ftw
