im 6'3 I been shopping for a 600 for awhile now
do you guys agree that the 06+ r6 is the best choice for a taller rider ?
being as the seat height is 33.5'' the highest

I been on a cbr600 and felt like it was tiny

I owned a 2006 ninja 636 and that was fine but I had it years ago I dont remember how it compares to the r6 in terms of height and size

opinions?

I had the 05 last summer (was borrowing it from a friend) and I thought the bike was really short small but it was roomy but roomy or no roomy It was pretty bad the cbr and the zx6 I felt were better for me at 6'3

basically I hated the 05 lol

hmm, well then don't get a 2nd gen hah, you must have a long inseam

remember you can always put aftermarket rear-sets on the bike to change pegs if you don't like where theyre at

I'm 6'4" on an '03 and it's pretty comfortable. The knees get pretty sore on a 3+ hr drive though.

i'm 6'5" with a 3rd gen and i don't find a problem with it. Knees get sore after long rides but adjustable rearsets will help.

I dont notice a difference from sitting on a zx6r and a cbr600rr...

no difference what so ever in all 3 bikes my feet are flat on the ground and I can stand up and theres like 5'' of space between the seat and my ass.

so that 1'' difference makes no difference and im 6'3



I wish the r6 was a little bigger so that I wouldnt look so akwardly tall on it,

what other 600's would you think are bigger in seat height and overall size in the 600 series ?

the 04-07 cbr1000rr I know is the biggest when I had it it was perfect for my height but I hated the bike lol it was heavy and I just liked the feels of the 600s better for street.
however I never been on an r1. is the r1 any bigger for a taller rider or not really? i know the seat height is shorter than the r6 :/

I'm 6 2 225 and i love the feel of the 08+ cbr 1k. It feels like it has more room then my 08 r6 did

The answer has been stated here, and in other Similiar threads.

Are you too tall? no.
Is it going to be comfortable? Perhaps
Can you do anything to compensate? Yes (clip ons, rear sets, seat, etc).
Are you going to be able to notice the seat height difference? Not really, because of the rear set and riser locations.

Keep in mind, 6'3" doesn't mean you have the same leg/torso length as the next guy, you have already said that you have sat on bikes. Do it again and try to imagine that position for a few hours (have one or both legs off the ground if you're able), clearly holding the bike up flat footed isn't going to be an issue on any of the bikes you suggested. Oh and don't go 1000cc... We don't need a thread about "I'm a big man, so I need a big bike, 1000cc+". I'm 6'3" for reference, on an 05 with stock rearsets, clip ons and seat...

To my knowledge, the 675 has the tallest seat height. If that's really a concern of yours. They're a little more spendy to replace and fix and maintain though.
