Hey fellow-forumers! Yesterday I put one on hold/down payment and I should have it within the week! The shop I went to had a Black with red flames and a silver one, and I picked up the black with red. I'm really excited and this will be my first bike, and I got the limited color for no extra cost! My friend is picking up the same year and model for the same price, but his is a silver one. Mine has no miles, brand new, and I was just wandering how does one go about breaking a motorcycle in? Any suggestions? Thanks... And other suggestions about riding this motorcycle and riding in general would be appreciated.

First of all, congrats! I love my bike (silver '03) and have never made a better purchase in my life! You'll defintiley be satisfied without a doubt! I was always under the assumption that you take it easy on the engine during the break-in period. I bought mine with 800 miles on it and don't know how it was broken in during that time. However, since then, I have ridden the piss out of her without a problem. you can read about what this guy has to say.

He has some good points.
