I have been looking at the 0-60 times for r6's and according to this website -http://www.zeroto60times.com/Motorcycle-0-60-mph-Times.html the
2004 r6 had a 3.4 second 0-60 and a 1/4 mile at 11.0
2011 r6 had a 3.1 second 0-60 and a 1/4 mile at 10.9.

Now what i am confused about, it says that the 2013 r6 has a 3.7 0-60 and a 11.6 1/4 mile, how is the 2013 r6 .3 seconds slower then the 04 and .6 seconds slower then a 2011 why would they make their bike slower?
Any response will be appreciated on this topic, thanks for your time

Emissions and sound regulations from 2011 to 2013. The 04 had a more midrange focused motor, which would account for it being faster 0-60 than the 2011 and 2013

I know in '09 they started doing emmisions on full throttle, so the '08 and before have noticeable more pull in the upper range. This can be changed w/fuel mapping.

So i knew the ECU was changed from 08 to 09 but i searched for an hour the other day and this is the only hard evidence i found:

So yes its "faster" by having more topend hp, but mid range gets you around a corner faster :lmao

Plus are we really going to argue over 3.6 hp?
