Late for a Dr. appt going 107 and then all of a sudden a loud bang and smoke and oil everywhere on the highway. I've tried using epoxy, J.B weld high heat to be specific, and I just can't get oil to stop leaking. Suggestions or something anybody to help me fix my babyy?

drop in a new motor. or at least a new case.

MAYBE try to drop the motor and have a shop weld up the hole? not sure i'd do it that way, but no matter what you do, you're going to have to pull that motor to get it fixed right. imo.

Cool, thanks. The hole is probably about quarter size. And do they even sell cases by themselfs?

The cheapest and easiest route is just dropping in a new motor. Tearing down the motor and putting it back is a lot of money if you pay the labor. Even if not I would just swap it.

you could drop that motor and put a new one in in a day with a buddy, even if neither of you have done it before.

there are cheaper ways of doing it, but more man hours. you can buy a new engine case, or do it the rinkydink way and get the piece welded back in but then you risk arcing out bearings and blowing the motor anyways.

not to mention the fact that a "bandaid'ed" motor most likely won't pass tech.

Tech at a track day. As many have stated best option would be to replace the motor. I would not suggest you continue to ride that way as oil may spill and get on your tire, your engine may seize, etc., just not safe at all.

Yeah, my back tire is covered in oil already. fml. Along with almost all of my fairings. But all right. Thanks ya'll. Also, havent been to a track yet. Would love to go though.

replace the tire as well then. fairings will clean up if you get at it quick enough
