As the title suggests, anyone on here have crash proven cheap race boots that accommodate wide feet. Normal width shoes make my feet fall asleep. They wont be used at all around town.

.............. Tracks dont allow laces.
With damned good reason. After tying, I always tuck the loops in the boot when riding. Few years ago putting a foot down at a quick stop a loop caught a foot peg. Could've pushed through it but instead I took a second delay to try to un-catch... and by the time I got it down the bike's weight was already too far shifted. It pushed my leg out of the way and began to knock me over. At that point I just made sure my leg wouldn't be under it when it fell. Bent up my clutch lever but it was still rideable for the trip back to work and eventually home. If a lace manages to get caught in the chain, it would potentially be catastrophic. Because it's just something else that doesn't require constant fixing, I have heavy duty laces.
