I checked my coolant level the other day and noticed it was a little below the LOW mark. Will that make the bike run rough? Will it make the fans turn on more?

...The coolant reservoir being low doesn't necessarily mean the coolant it low in your radiator..correct?

I'm just going to add more coolant to the reservoir like it states in the manual.



Where did the coolant go. I don't have a leak... There's only 2000 miles on the bike. I just bought it 2 months or so ago and the kid who had it before me hasn't rode it really since 2006. Would the bike sitting cause the coolant to disappear?

You are correct that the coolant reservior doesn't mean the coolant level in the radiator is low. You need to pop the radiator cap to check that level. Just add a little coolant or water to the reservior and you will be OK.

Figured... Rather be safe then sorry. Still getting into the whole bike mod/tune scene.
