hey i was trying to clear some of the bugs/dirt off my radiator and i noticed my coolant is low.....what coolant do i use? i'm second owner of the bike and i dont know if the previous owner changed the coolant at all..

What do i use and how do i know im not mixing two different coolants without doing an entire flush or w/e?

thanks

What color is the coolant that's in it? Most likely it's green....in which case just go get some regular old Prestone from the auto store. Or just use distilled water and some water wetter to save even more money. Either of those options are sufficient unless it's a race bike.

just put some green in it.. thats the lazy way..it wont hurt anything.. but the correct way is to flush it out and refill so u know exactly what is in it.

what would be the cons of just adding in more coolant?
The con would be if your coolant is super old then it wouldn't have the cooling capabilities that new coolant does. It's best to just put all new fluid in, but as long as your bike isn't overheating then you'll be fine just adding some.

Prestone works fine.
