I have a 2006 Yamaha r6 and I was riding it for about an hour rode perfectly fine stopped at a buddy’s house for about 10 minutes went to leave and got on it hard and the bike died at 12,000 rpms I pulled over it started back up did it again so I rode it easy for about 3 miles never died then for on it hard again and it didn’t die could this be from my bike not having the air box breather and air temp sensor ?

The temp sensor will cause the ecu to run oddly and complain. Plugs or coils or fuel related problem.

So should I start with buying the air box and getting that sensor hooked back up ? Because I changed my plugs about a month ago and I’ve only rode it about 3 times since then. But I also had to rebook my cam shaft sensor because it hit my fan awhile back could it be that again? And thank you

Any sensor not working makes the check engine light come on and a code saved pointing to the fault (s).
