“It was a long but very exciting weekend for me”
Friday: I corner worked T1 but only in the morning! WERA had to cancel practice and qualifying due to BAD weather.
Saturday: What a DAY! I felt good really good so I told the team “MouseBox Racing” that I wanted to start the endurance and they were cool with that so I went out there and started the race at 11am.
I started up in the front of the pack and starting making some passes, some laps go by and next thing I know is I’m second overall behind Vesrah.
I kept looking at my lap timer every lap to know what my pace was like, I ran some 18’s at first then I ran a bunch of 19’s and finally worked my way up to flat 20’s and at that point I had already opened a big gap over 2nd place in class and also 3rd place overall.
It felt really good to know that my pace was good enough to do that so I kept running in the flat 20’s…. 45 minutes go by and the bike still had plenty of gas! At this point I was ready to pit in hahahaha
Keith Marshall came outta no where and passed me so we played around for a few laps until he had to pit and then Vesrah had to pit as well….Jacobe jumps on the bike and Re-enters the track right in front of me as I hit the Apex in T1… I said to my self hell this is my chance to see if I can lead the race for at least a few laps!
I followed him closely and then made a pass on him going into T13…. Man I was happy as hell because I know how hard it is to do that “that’s one of the things I’ll remember forever”.
I stayed ahead of him for a couple of laps and them I let him in T1…
55 minutes go by and I still had gas on the bike… a few laps later the gas light came up and I let the crew know that I was coming IN… Finally hahaha
I stayed out there for like 1 hour and 5 minutes, not what we expected… we thought a full tank of gas was gonna last 45-50 minutes.
Everything kinda went down hill from there; we made a few mistakes on and off the track and lost the lead!
We finished 3rd in class and 6th overall.
Sunday: The two 1hr + stints I ran the day before KILLED me! I had never felt this tired/sore in my life.
I went out for my two rounds of practice and ran like 2-3 laps each time out… my best times were in the high 18’s.
600 Super Stock
Started the race in row 4, got a good start and started to push to try to keep up with some of the fast guys! I got passed in T3 and the guy really held me up for like 2 laps! I was starting to get upset… cause he was good from T11 to 3 but was much slower than me from turns 5 to 10… I was able to get by him around lap 3-4 exiting T1.
I started pushing more than ever before and ran flat 18’s for like 3 laps, I was able to catch up to Ryan O'Donnell in 6th place and had a great battle with him until the end of the race…. He beat me by .024 so close you can’t even see it in the video.
My best time of the race

600 Super Bike
I started the race in Row 3, once again had a good start and once again I got passed by the same rider in T3 “Damn I need to get better in that turn!!!” This time I was able to pass him back a few turns later (T10).
Payton, Day, Wesby and Brett were in front and I tried to keep them close so I started pushing and pushing!!!
Well the front tire I was on was a take off and had 4 races on including the previous race!
I went into turn 9 not really pushing it and lost it!!!
The video says it ALL
