and now it won't start. All the electrics work ok, no leaking fuel or any other liquids and when you turn the key you can hear all the usual whirrings that you expect but it just won't start. Kill switch is not the problem.

Crash was about 40-50mph but not a bad one bike damage mainly looks cosmetic although i haven't had it checked yet. Is there any simple reason why the bike won't start...some sort of overide as it's had an impact or been on it's side??

It's a 2005 model

Check your clutch switch, kickstand switch, and your fuses....:popcorn:

+1...I would check in that order too.

Especially if you went down on your left side. it could've jostled one of the connections on any one of those items loose. How do you know its not your kill switch?

Yeah i did go down on my left hand side. I only know it's not the kill switch coz i've tried to start it in both positions, nothing more technical than that.
Dont know about sportbikes but I have had my kill switch fail on motocross bikes after a crash. Just unplug it and see if it works...

I had a similar problem just happen small crash pushed into the grass she will still start and runs but around 4K the RPM's start fluttering any Idea what would cause this no real damage to the bike at all just a few small scuffs.
