They are the same thing, just a different way of saying it.
What would make his so much louder then mine. my bike sounds like a factory bike and his bike screams
What year are your bikes. The 06-08 R6 has a midship muffler which the previous years did not have. Remove that and ur bike will scream also.

:lmao:lmao:lmao

Different way of saying it?!?!

Comon dude. Really?

They are the same. However, one will BOLT ON to the mid pipe, and the other will SLIP ON to the mi pipe and use a spring or clamp to secure it. Zuks are usually bolt on 05 and before. Along with Ducs 05 and before. Munufacutres have been going back and forth with bolt ons and slip ons for a while. In the end the slip ons won due to weight saving and producing the same performence numbers. Either way, it doesn't matter. Your not doing much with a slip on or a bolt on except for saving a little weight. Power numbers will not change thatmuch with any slip on/bolt on.
Both bikes are 01's and Im just not sure why his is so much louder then mine unless his is a full exhaust would that make his louder then mine

Both 01 whats. R6's?!?

I had an 02 R6 and do not recall it being a bolt on pipe.

Anyways, his may be louder due to the baffles in the pipe being worn and ratted out and it need of replacement and yours may be good. Who knows bro, who cares.
Both bikes are 01 r6's My bike sounds like a 2008 Toyota Camry and his bike sounds like a mustang GT

:bowroll
I wouldn't want anything of mine to sound like a mustang.......
If they are both R6s, then he has done something weird to get a bolt on exhaust. The stock R6 exhaust pipe (from 99-05, at least) does not have the appropriate bits to support a bolt on pipe.
I believe the packing was removed from his can is there any damage that can be done by doing this I really would like more sound from this bike

No damage can be done. The packing is just for sound damping. Why do it though? It would probably sound like a hollow trash can. Seriously, stop being a squid and worring about that stupid crap. I am sure your bike sounds the way it's supposed to. Spend time learning how to rail the corners. Dont waste time on turning your bike into a trash can sounding, POS, squid scooter.
Just called Yoshimura and found out that my bike has the low volume insert installed and I can remove it Lol
