DIY fender eliminator on the cheap?

ace hardware fender eliminator

is there an easy way to make a fender eliminator that ditches the stock license plate light but still uses the stock turn signals. im a cheap mofo and would appreciate any info (pictures if ya got em) on makin something clean and simple to tidy up the tail on my 07s. heres what she looks like now. thanks for any suggestions :bow

well hell, you already hacked the bottom portion of the mudflap off so y not just hack the light off too and then slide the plate up so it covers the hole left by that, drill a couple holes for the plate, and BAAM, done. its the super cheap way!
i guess that could work :dunce: i was just lookin to eliminate as much plastic dremeling and filing as possible. can you just take off the whole stock fender assembly and replace it with some L brackets or somthing and still use the stock turn signals?

I made a pivoting plate bracket out of 4 L brackets and a couple of bolts and lock nuts, that I am going to mount down by my shock, and I have a lighted plate frame from McCoy Motorsports so I stay legal. Then once Clear Alternatives comes out with the integrated taillight for the '08s, I'll order one of those and put everything on :nocontrol

Can't wait for them to start selling the taillights, apparently it's backed up til late July :(
here is how i did it, i used some $20 blinkers and it looks ALOT better than the factory blinkers
