I've read on a few forums that the heat curing in powdercoating can damage/weaken wheels to the point that some have developed cracks and/or snapped spokes after a little bit of use. I was just wondering if this is true, or if it's only true in certain applications and whether or not motorcycle wheels are affected negatively by this process.

mine seem to be fine...they only heat to 350* for like 30-40 minutes...it can't be that bad on them.

Now maybe if you were PC some aftermarket or weaker metal? I dunno. Mine are fine

i was researching this as well because i wanted to PC my wheels. From the info i've read, it seems that the actual process, if done correctly, should not exceed 400'F which should NOT weaken the metal of a cast alloy wheel.
