Hi all!
I’m looking for some help !!

I recently tried to wire a new tail light on my 2003 R6, I must have got the wires mixed up because now the indicators won’t work at all?!

I re-fitted the old tail light and it only works when I press the brake as well?!

The horn is working and I’ve checked all of the fuses...

Does anyone know what the issue could be??
I’m baffled.

Thanks

Let's cut to the chase.
What wires do you have in the rear?
What wires do you have on the light?

Hello,

Thanks for your reply, I believe it’s yellow, blue and black.
Although, I have wired back-in the original headlight so everything is as it should be now.
But now the indicators aren’t working at all, and the brake light will only come on when I press the brake.

Thanks!

Your wiring may be different from what I have on my US '08.

Tail light illumination is fed by two wires. Black is ground.
Blue/Red - Constant 12v w/ ignition on - fed by signal fuse
Yellow - 12v only with use of brake switch - fed by signal fuse

So basically you need to check the signal fuse... with a continuity meter. If you did a fender elimination, make sure your license plate light isn't shorting.

Your turn signals are also fed by that same fuse.

....... the brake light will only come on when I press the brake.
Based on my wiring diagram, not sure how that's possible unless the blue/red and yellow wires were switched at the light.

The Blue/Red wire operating the running light at the tail is fed via headlight fuse.
The Yellow wire operating the brake light at the tail if fed by the signal fuse.
