Yeah that's normal. When it's about 70-80 outside and I'm curising it runs around 170-180F. When I stop it climbs, depending on how long I sit. After awhile it hits 212 or so and the fan kicks on, then shuts off at 210.
good ole jeffsy to the rescue. ya i live in texas and my bike will run in the mid 180s when im movin on a good hot day. when i get to a light it will jump up pretty quick to the 212 mark, but then the fan ofcourse kicks on and it goes down eventually :cheers
here in northern cali, my bike runs at 167 degrees when cruising. i put in 6 oz. of Redline's Water Wetter and it helped out a little bit. try some of that stuff if you want to keep your engine running a lil cooler. good times!
