I have a 2014 R6 with the factory headers, mad muffler delete, and Sato titanium slip-on. I absolutely love the sound and constantly get compliments.

I was wondering about performance benefits when installing a full exhaust system that has a larger ID inner pipe diameter?

This is my first post, nice to be there.

More pipe= more flow, may loose some velocity but benefit more in the top end. At the cost of some to no loss in the mid range. The two inner cylinder on an inline 4 run hotter due to location so there prob also some benefit of less heat soak with more exhaust gas able to escape. Header pipes have a lot of science behind them. The benifits vs money is very minimal for Street use. If you got the coin to spend go for it. May need some custom tuning to get the most out of it though. Other than that it’s a look and sound benifit only, for hundreds if not a thousand more dollars. My uneducated opinion lol
