Well, tonight I went for my first group ride. IT RULED!! It was awesome. There were 7 of us. They cut down the usual pace for me because i'm still learning. Pretty cool!
I experienced my first headshake tonight. That was weird. We cut off the highway onto this back road stopped and waited for the slower rider (read: Me!) and as I was accelerating through 2nd we went over a little washboard area in the asphalt and SHAKE!! I relaxed my grip on the bars and it went away. Mind you it wasn't a very severe case but it certainly got my attention. hehe
I also hit my first bigass eastern Canadian bubblebee at 140kph... loaded full of pollen. Damn thing nearly ripped off the seat. Like hitting a 5lb bag of flour and a water balloon. LOL POOFSPLAT!!!! :hammer
All in all it was an awesome evening. Just thought i'd share. :)

I went through a small swarm a while back. Scared the crap out of me. I saw some black stuff floating in front of me & before I relised what it was I was into them. Stopped straight after to check if any of the little bastards had gotten into my jacket & where still alive & to clean off the dead ones.

yea man ive gotten that a bunch of times from the wheel getting light. i actually lifted up the front wheel slightly going from 3rd to 4th the other day at around 115 and it shook slightly when it came back down. scared the poo out of me. im going to get a scotts damper next month for sure.

my first group ride i was kinda pushed....ended up topping my bike out that night. there was like 8 of us. here in arkansas though you dont find to many big groups of crotch rockets. it kinda sucks. i love riding with ppl its funner riding with others. but when you only got two or three that you ride with all the time gets kinda boring i think cuase im a corner lover and they aint so i have to slow my pace down. every now and then i ride with someone who will keep up with me but not very often.
