Need a good cylinder head. Prefer to have cams and caps with it. Thanks
I wouldnt entertain buying one without the caps...lol.
Unless yours is completely destroyed... its less risk to rebuild your own.
Components are going to run north of $2,000 if you want minty high performance fresh. About $135 per valve, spring, collets, etc. X 16 :surprise:

Good point on the caps, just figured I would make a point of it. Have two sitting in my garage; one is cooked/warped and the other has the bore on the exhaust cam deformed. Not sure what caused it, but the lower half of the exhaust journals are rolled over (oil starved? could have been that I didn't plastigage when I swapped out the cooked head). Just finishing putting new rings in, was putting on the head and trying to set timing but couldn't turn the motor over. Turned over fine without cams in and upon further inspection found the journals mashed up. Not sure how a machine shop would fix it.

I've come to terms that I'll never be able to afford a new / rebuild a cylinder head.

I might start with V&H, KWS, or Starr performance to see what your options are.
Ive seen some of KWS's repair work on broken OHC cylinder heads... you couldnt tell anything was done. And they were cast parts.
