Hey guys im just curious as to what the benefit of having these two lines connected to each other would be.

when i bought my track bike, one hose connected these two ports (guessing vent and overflow)

just wondering if there is a reason and if there could be any drawbacks

Thanks

those are breather hoses... you definately dont want them connected together unless its like deezy where they connect at a T then go out to a single breather.
its to let the fumes from the gas out when it heats up so tank doesnt build up too much pressure i believe..
mine is just two separate long hoses that run down the side of the bike.

One is a vent the other is an over flow for when you over fill your gas tank. So the benefit of conecting them together would be for a track bike so when you are in a hurry and put a bit to much gas in the bike it doesnt just run out the bottom of the bike and pool in your belly pan.

Hmm well I usually try to keep the levels in the tank down to keep weight down as well haha. Maybe I should just put it back to stock then. Thanks guys
