Hey guys,

I bought one of the cheap gear indicators on eBay so I figured I'd give it a shot wiring it up. For those of you who know the wiring on these bikes well or have wired one of these up I am trying to figure out which colored wires I need to find to wire this thing up.

I would like to just wire it in near the gauge cluster if possible so I don't have to lengthen the wires that are on the gear indicator.

Anyway, looking for colors on the:

12-volt positive (ignition)
Tachometer pulse
Speedo pulse
Neutral light

The instructions also list a learn/setup connection in addition to those above.

The bike is a 2007.

The instructions that came with it aren't much to brag about so I was hoping I might find some luck here.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the links but that doesn't clear it all up.

It seems each generation of these bikes has different wiring.

Example: In that link above it says the crank position sensor plug wires are black/blue and grey. On my bike it appears they are grey and dark grey.

Can anybody post up any pics of a 2007 crank position sensor? I've searched high and low and this simple install has become a major pain in the ass.

I am to the point of programming the unit while running the bike through the gears but it will not program so I think my issue is with the CPS being hooked up wrong.
