i got an 07 r6, bone stock except for a yoshi slip on. it really doesnt have the sound i want. i would wondering how it would sound if i gutted it. i want it louder. i was gonna leave the yoshi alone , and add a race midpipe, but funds are limited.

without putting a midpipe on it will not be loud...even if u gut the can. Go to www.mjsperformance.com/r60608raceheader.htm thats what you need lol. with that, it will get rid of the cat, still has a place for your O2 censor and is top quality work! i have one on my 08 and i love it. it will make that yoshi sound mean! and if its still not loud enough ( which it will be ) gut the can with the header on and ull be heard for miles hah

Yep, the muffler (slip-on) on the R6 (no matter what slip-on you run) doesnt really do much to make the bike a whole lot louder unless you change the rest of the piping...

I have a Jardine GP1 slip-on, its just a metal piece of pipe, and its still not much louder than it used to be
