"Maximum visibility" was actually in reference to other drivers. I wanted them to have the better chance at noticing me.

I see a lot of bikes with poor lighting. DRL seemed to have an impact with my car.
Yeah, only having one bulb on is less noticable, drls on a bike would be great.
And as far as the visor I just mean in general :)

I wear glasses. So those are what I tint. If I didn't have glasses, would be wearing shades vs tinting the visor. It's easy to remove shades at a stop-light versus having to stop and swap-out a visor.
I wear a tinted all the time, the one for my visor isn't super dark but it helps with dumb led headlights from cars

There are some really dark twisties nearby with occasional critter traffic. Tall trees cover the road even on moonlit nights. Fun, but only if you can see far enough out to maintain some speed. With shades on, wouldn't be able to see beyond the headlight cut-off beam.
I never ride at night. The only time I actually rode at night was heading home from work. I just took it nice and easy and I never had any visibility issues.
