I just got a 2005 R6. It has a Micron Exhaust and that's about it for power mods.

What can I do to get some more power out of the bike, it seems like it should be faster.
It has the stock air filter and I'm thinking about getting a K&N filter next week but I'm not sure if anything needs to be done to the bike after having the exhaust and filter.
I don't know much about the mechanical side of anything so any suggestions would help.

You should change the filter with a power commander/good tune a 520 kit wont hurt either it should be plenty quick

Will it do any good to change the filter with out the commader for a little bit?

ok, the exhaust was put on and nothing was done tuning wise. Is that ok?
and where can I get a decent deal on a power command, is it easy to install myself or should I have someone who knows what they're doin install it.

If its a slip on and no commander its ok.it may pop and stuff but it wont hurt it just search the net.I buy my stuff from kneedraggers.com the prices are pretty similar everywhere
