Well a little over a year and a half ago my new 06 R6 was stolen outside of my apartment and it only had 2700 miles at the time. Today at 4 pm a state trooper called me and said " this is trooper davis with md state police and i know it has been a year and a half but we found your bike today." At this point my hands started shaking and i was in complete shock. I asked him how bad does the bike look and he said suprisingly it is in pretty good shape. The ingnition is broken because the guy was using a screw driver to start it and he said the tires were bald but that the bike runs fine. He also said the when the kid got off the bike to run he dropped it on its side so there are some scratches on it.
now i have two r6's! I am taking my truck over tomorrow to pick it up from the impound lot which is about an hour and a half away. I also have to pay 270 to get it out but the officer said that i will probably get that back plus some more in restitution when i go to court in a few months. I am soooooo happy i am getting my bike back even though its probably not going to be in the best shape its still nice to get it back and to know that dick that stole the bike is behind bars.
