Had an interesting experience tonight. We had a good size ride for awhile (about 40 bikes). After stopping at a gas station, about half of us took off to head back home. We took US-1 to a little side road, and took that almost to the highway. I say almost because right before we got to it, we got pulled over. The speed limit on that road is 25mph, and we might have been going 35. So we stopped at a stop sign, and just as we took off we see two cars pull out ahead of us, then the ol' blue & red started flashing. And we hear over the loudspeaker, "turn off your bikes and get off." Naturally, we complied. They said they had complaints of bikes running at 90mph (definitely not us), and they ran everyones' license. No one had any outstanding warrants or anything, so we got no tickets.

But the absolutely best part of the night was that from there we got a police escort back to where we were going (about 3 miles away). So we had two cars in front, and one in back, and at that point about 12 bikes. Imagine coming up to an intersection, seeing a cop pull up with lights on and blocking your path, and then seeing 12 bikes ride by! That part was admittedly pretty sweet.

We had a guy get Tboned by a bich on a cell phone that ran a red light, he died that night in the hospital. So the next week we organized a ride with over 300 bikes and we went around and did the replica of the "last ride he ever did" around hampton roads. We had full police escort the whole way, they blocked every intersection and let us all just cruise on through, it was an amazing sight!!! :nocontrol:nocontrol:nocontrol The cops were very cool about the entire ordeal, but we had some friggin squids with us popping wheelies and things and one decided to wheelie right into the back of a squad car:mad: One also wiped out in the TUNNEL and took about 6 other bikes with him:mad::mad: So needless to say it was a cool time until the dipshits took over. It would have looked badass from a car's point of view at one of the intersections. BTW, the woman didn't even get prison time...Cosmo didn't have a family to press charges against her...Rumor has it she turns 21 in a couple months. Some of us are planning on findin her car, wanna join in?:poke

anyone take any pics? that would have been sick.
Ha, no, but that would've been cool. I just don't think the cops would've appreciated it though!

Sorry to hear about that man. We've all known someone who was taken too early. Cool of the cops to do that for you though.

No, but we were out there earlier that night. And it's the group that meets at Friday's at Hooters.
We were actually just coming back from Windover. It was on River Road, just north of 520 heading south.

Ah, I dont like to go barreling down that road too fast. I usually just cruise through because its a nice road to chill on.

Man I miss those days of hanging around Hooters on friday nights. Always something new going on.

I dont know if you know where GP Bikes Inc is, but they have a really fun bike night. Made a lot of friends there.

The most bikes I ever rode with was about 200 thought it was with the Patriot Gaurd and going to the funeral of a soilder to block the bastard church from Kansas that protest at soilders funerals. We went through 3 town and never had to stop cus the cops had every intersection blocked as we went through.

Also if you have never heard or had a chance to ride with the Patriot Gaurd. Look them up, it is sad that there are people who want to protest soilders funerals but these guys do a great service for those who gave all and their families and is an amazing feeling seeing the gratitude on the families faces.

i just checked out that website, amazing! I happen to be in the service, and if anything were to happen to me or a fellow servicemen, i would gladly welcome them. I think it's horrible that people protest funerals, those people obviously have no heart. I will be joining honor guard soon hopefully, maybe i will see them sometime, and hopefully join in the ride later down the road.

PS, sorry to jack the thread, just giving my 2 cents.
