Remove the rear foot pegs? I've done a search and am unable to find anything. I thought it would be easy enough, but I haven't a clue. I was going to remove the piece on the bottom of the bike, but I figured I would ask someone who's done it before getting into all that.

I did find a thread about foot peg covers, and ma too late cuz the group buy was over :(.

thanks for the info

remove the seat, Lift the rear of the seat and you will see 2 bolts on each side, remove those and the seat will pop off..

After that you can access the bolts to the passenger pegs, Mine were pretty large allen head bolts..Takes like 5 mins total

the allen key that fits the rear peg bolts should be in your yamaha tool kit. i made my own covers out of foam and black spray paint for the rear peg holes and upper frame plug. the peg cover picture is washed out from the flash but they are dark black and looks really good in my own opinion, and for less than $6. let me know what you think.

not bad, i'll have to start getting creative i guess
Crap! Tis what I thought. Problem is that when I go to remove the bolts under the seat, the left one comes off in no time, the right side... well thats another story. For some reason it will not budge, it just keeps turning and turning with the ring. I think it may be stuck to the ring and would explain why its not coming off. I guess I'll have to figure a way to get that off.

iamspecialied... nicely done wit the diy cover for the peg. Only problem is that my bike is candy red lol
the candy red makes it much more difficult but with the right paint i think you could get it close and no one would be able to tell, especially when your riding. the foam i used was a light green before i painted it.
There was a group buy for the 07' OEM plugs (color matched) in the group buy section not too long ago...Im sure they will do another run or PM one of the guys getting the parts

sucks for me though because 08' is different
