i think the front is 16...and the back is 48? is this right? and im thinking about going up 2 in the back and down one in the front...how much of a difference will i notice if i do this? thanks in advance!!
One tooth change in the front equates to approximately 3.5 teeth in the back. What you are planning will be about a 5+ tooth difference. Your top speed will suffer but you will get to the new top speed much faster.
im looking for better clutch wheelies...thats about it..top speed rush is over for me started stunting a little bit now. so no big deal on the top end loss..and im still diggin the excelleration so yeah...but how much of a difference will it make on the clutching it up? (in 2nd and 3rd)
Yes 16/48 and just so you know the stock chain is a 532. Most people and publications say it is a 530, but the 03, and 04 came with a 532 on them from the factory for some odd reason. I would suggest doing the 520 conversion as well.
