they don't really. Inverted forks are much better for track/race purposes. For street riding, don't worry about it.

i belive the 05' was the only year the inverted forks came out.

If you ride street only, regular forks are better because they are easier to service.

Inverteds have superior performance but you won't know the difference if you're a street rider.

I would be willing to bet that over half of the trackday riders can't feel the difference either. The only ones who can actually feel the difference in stiffness and use it for anything are getting paid to ride their bikes, not the other way around.
