If your bike is fuel injected, and putting an aftermarket exhaust on, YES! Pull the wallet back out bubba.
NO NO NO

Leo actually prides themselves in their systems running on a stock bike. i.e. no definite need for a pcIII, although, when i got mine tuned it made a world of difference.
The PC3 is not a must. But it is a very nice to have item that goes well with the full exhaust. You will probably need your bike tuned after you install the full exhaust anyways, so why not add a PC3 and BMC air filter to the mix. That way you only need to have your bike mapped and tuned once.
Sorry I should of clarified that you don't have to, but your bike will not run at it's full potential.
not to topic steal, but i got a Mid Pipe/GYTR Slip on coming along with a PCIII. Will i need a tune, or will the PCIII be sufficient.
Whenever someone changes the restriction in an exhaust it changes the fuel mapping the engine needs to run right. Other things known as backpressure that is also read. The O2 sensor which is also needed for the fuel maping. The R6 comes with a catylatic convertor, if it is removed, pc3. If you remove the O2 sensor PC3. If you put a full exhaust on PC3. I don't believe any PC3 is set for a certain exhaust. Yes your bike will still run if it isn't tuned. Does it need tuned? If you want to get the full potential out of your bike, YES!
do you reccomend a specific power commander ? What site can I pick one up from?
pcIII

parts411 will probably be the cheapest.

Tune is never a bad idea but a pcIII is a must with the mid pipe mod. you will also most likely want to block and remove your AIS system.

Sorry 818, another slight topic stealer but im purchasing a carbon ackroporvic "slip-on" only rather than the full system, no one's mentioned whether you would need a pcIII with just a slip on or is that what you guys mean by mid pipe mod? Anyone Know?? as raven's mentioned does it mess with any of the sensors or cat converter??
where can i find a pc3 for an 08? all the ones ive seen are for 07's
