Enter now for the June Ride of the Month. I had a lot of input about the voting time not being long enough. So this month we'll do two weeks of enties and two weeks of voting. Entry cut-off will be June 16th and voting will then go until Monday the 30th. The winner will be announced shortly there-after.

Good Luck!

Entries only for now please!

Re: Ride of the Month (June 08)

Year: 2006
Model: R6
Engine size: 600cc......duh
Pipes: Graves slip on
Seat: Stock
Wheels: Stock
Accessories: GYTR Seat Cowl, GYTR Euro passenger peg plugs, Pazzo shorties (black/gold), Motowizard pre-load adjusters, Galfer SS brake lines front and back (black lines/gold fittings), BMC Race, Driven black sprockets (-1+2), RK GXW 520 chain (gold), GP shift, StompGrip traction pads (black), Pirelli Diable Corsa III tires (PIRELLI painted yellow), Hi-Concept mirror blocks, CRG bar end mirror, Hi-Concept fender eliminator, blue rim tape up front, gold in the rear, carbon fiber triple tree cover.

The suspension is set up for my size. 5'10'' 150 lbs. I started with Mobil-one synthetic after 3k miles. I also have some bomb ass brake fluid but forget what brand.

Story: I try to keep my bike so that the average person does not know its modified. I like it looking as if this is how Yamaha released it from the factory.... or atleast should have. Everyone is going to say "DUDE where are your flushmounts??....." Truth be told, I like the visibilty of the stockies. I will eventually break down and get some, but I still have other more important mods to do. My bike is not finished yet. The next mods are going to really set it off, which is why if I do not get in for this month I am not sweating it. By the end of summer this bike will be EXACTLY where I want it. My bike is not a "credit card build". Meaning I did not max out my credit card and buy some sick parts. I am (kinda have tooo..) taking my time and doing mods as the come. I have 10k miles on the bike and it is as clean as when it had 10. Ohh well, I am done blabbeling. VOTE FOR ME!!!

This pics are kinda weak, but bare with me.... My battery died.

Re: Ride of the Month (June 08)

Year: 2006
Model: R6v
Engine size: 600cc
Pipes: LeoVince SBK Full SS System Carbon w. Carbon Cone
Seat: Stock w, Rear Cowl
Wheels: Stock

Mods:ZeroGravity DB Windscreen, GPR Stabilizer, R&G racing Frame Sliders, R&G Racing Bar Ends, Renthal Medium Compound Grips, Stomp Grip, Seat Cowl, Removed Decals (not really a mod), Galfer SS Brake Lines and HH pads, PowerCommanderIII (with tune), BMC Race Filter, GP Shift, Pilot Powers, suspension (set up by Dave Moss @ Catalyst Reaction) Sprocket Specialist Sprockets (15/47) w. Silver RK Chain 520 Pitch, 6000k HIDs w. LED aux bulb, Greggs Customs Flushies, Integrated Rear Tail light, Euro Key, Momomummy Ice Sock, Pitbull Stands F&R

My Story:
I started off with a 2003 DBR 600rr 3 years ago, I was once a noob and thought splitting lanes was great, until I went over the hood of a yukon in shorts and a t-shirt. After that, I thought I was done riding on the street, having never owned a dirtbike I thought maybe that was the avenue I should persue for my safty and my families piece of mind, well, needless to say, that didnt happen. I bought this bike with 1000 miles on it for $7000 last march, I have since then put in my hard work, money, sweat, and blood into installing mods and riding the wheels off of this thing. I have done 3 trackdays on it and its still in mint condition, just as it was when i first laid eyes on it. I have worked very hard to get it where it is now, I tried to get all my mods done in the first year and over the winter so I could fully concentrate on more seat time on the track this year. I love the six, wouldnt trade her for the world, she is mine and reflects who I am as a person and what style I like. My future plans for it are rearsets, levers, and race plastics, maybe eventually get into an ignition advancer and a quickshifter. I hope to buy a r1 next summer for the streets and have my six as a track whore, i coulnt imagine having anything else out there could be any better then the foundation we all started with. That is my story and i'm sticking to it. I do not have a good camera nor am i a photographer but i hope you enjoyed hearing about me, my bike, and looking at the pictures. :cheers

*Mods, if this is too long or too many pictures feel free to do what you gotta do*

back after 2 months of owning it (this was taken by my friend who IS a photographer):

Year: 2006
Model: R6
Engine Size: 600cc
Pipes: M4 GP, Custom welded x-pipe, gutted headers
Seat: Stock
Wheels: Stock
Accessories:
M4 GP Exhaust. PCIII. K&N Filter. Vortex Full Adjustable Rear Sets. GP Shift Pattern. Powder Coated Side Stand. Seat Cowl. Fender Eliminator. Black Flushmounts. Pazzo Shorty Racing Levers. Puig DB Windscreen. Blacked Out Aux Light. Black Integrated Tailight. Lowered 2in. Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's
And the Story:
Bought with only 300mi from a girl who decided she couldnt ride it. Turns out I started dating her...and thats another story in itself...anyways...decided i was goona put no carbon fiber on it, keep it as black as possible with the red accenting. Originally lowered for my girlfriend, I decided to keep it at that height to hopefully convince her to ride, and i loved the sleekness of how it looks, kept it lowered, despite of others complaints that it ruins handling. anyways...thats enough, hope you like it.

Re: Ride of the Month (June 08)

Year: 2003
Model: R6
Engine size: 600cc......duh
Pipes: Micron slip on
Seat: Stock
Wheels: Stock

Accessories: ZeroGravity dark smoke screen, flush mount front signals, fender eliminator, maxxis supermaxx tires, driven gel grips, RK 520 chain, Sprocket Specialist front and rear 15/50 sprockets, speedohealer, removed all stickers besides R6 and yamaha. As for oil i run full synthetic since 600 miles and maintain that every 3K.

Story: I ride her like it should be ridden. Theres no babying here but never push it further than she can take.
I had been bike shopping for about a month, checking cycletrader everyday and then one day in July I found a black and silver R6 they had just put on about an hour before I checked at about 9 p.m! I didnt even let the dealership open the next morning and i was already on the phone trying to get through. Eventually they probably got sick of it ringin so they picked up and I put a 200 dollar deposit on her right then. The next morning i had a 5.5 hour drive to Minnesota to pick her up. From July 06 til November 06 i put 10,100 miles on her and she still runs as well as the day i got her.

Since its been raining the last week and a half, i havnt been able to get any more nice pics up so bare with me here. Got a new camera too so theres definitely some pics to come!

Year: 2006
Model: YZF-R6
Engine size: 600cc

Accessories: GYTR Seat Cowl, GYTR Euro passenger peg plugs, Hotbodies Undertail Turn Signals, Hotbodies GrandPrix Dark Smoke Windscreen, Hotbodies Flush Mount Turn Signals, Decals Removed, GTYR CF Tank & Gas Cap Protectors, LP CF Inlay Frame, Swingarm, Bar End Sliders,Trick Flasher

Story: Been in the Import Car Scene for a few years. I have a 2004 Nissan 350z customized to my style. 2 Years of having a Z i would get harrassed by cops and highschool kids wanting to race or show off. I didn't like the attention i was getting and i didn't like all the haters in the import scene. I decided to get a Blue YZF-R6 to compliment the car and to help with the daily commute to work and rising gas prices. Best investment ever! Not only is it cheap therapy when days are frustrating and life throws you a curve ball, but i also met a great group of riders. The community is great and many people on the freeway respect motorcycle riders. I would get waves from cars and bikes and cars would sometimes scoot to the left in the car pool lane to let me pass by. It was a great feeling to know that there were no haters on the road and no one wanted to test their car power or speed on the freeways. If it wern't for the high winds and occassional rain, i would be riding my bike everyday. Thank you for your time reading this and vote for me! Good Luck everyone!

Re: Ride of the Month (June 08)

Idk this is what the site says when I go to it.

IMPORTANT! Photobucket.com problem read here:
Last night Photobucket.com DNS at register.com was hacked by malicious people that are trying to compromise our business!
We are in no way affiliated with such bad deeds and cooperate with photobucket in capturing these individuals.
They have pointed the domain photobucket.com to an account hosted on our systems!
We have blocked that and photobucked techs have restored the domain pointing to its original location!
ALL account information and pictures on photobucket.com are OK, please have patience!
Unfortunately the complete DNS replication usually takes 24-48 hours and during this time caches DNS records might still point to us!
The normal operation of Photobucket is restored and as soon as the replication is complete there should be no further such issues!
We would like to emphasize that we are in now way responsible for what happens with photobucket and all users bumping across our systems!
We are a legitimate web hosting company operating since 2003 and in no way tolerate such hacking attempts!
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]!
Thanks for your patience and understanding!
