I'm looking at getting a couple euro keys cut and did a Google search and called a few locksmiths and they all are "mobile" and don't have actual shops so does anyone in the DFW area have a recommendation that I may have missed when searching? I don't want these keys messed up so I'm trying to find a reputable place to get it done at. I'm in North Fort Worth off 35.

just goto an ace hardware, they use the old school type machine for cutting keys. Just tell them you wont hold them liable, ive cut three keys with my local ace hardware, 5$ a pop and no problems.

You try this place? First google result if you search Ft. Worth key cutting.
www.dlocksmith.com/Fort-Worth/

Sure did, said they were just a mobile company. Their websites don't say anything about them being mobile, in fact most say they are located in such and such an area but when you call they say otherwise.

My advice would be stay away from Home Depot(not that it was an expressed option, just a heads up), every time I've have had a key cut by them it had to be redone multiple times to get it to work. Also, not sure what dealer you would be looking to goto if you went that route, but stay away from Yamaha Suzuki of Texas off 121/183 and pipeline. They are way over priced on everything and no one there knows what the hell they are doing. They also have a rep for trying to get people to get work performed on their bike that is unnecessary. Probably next closest dealer, at least that I can think of off the top of my head would be the Yamaha Suzuki West off Alta Mere south of I30 near ridgemar mall. Best yamaha dealer in the area as far as service, pricing and knowledge would be Stadium Yamaha in Irving off 183 E at O' Connor blvd.

Where exactly are you? Im right off Tarrant and 35W North.
The exact same place, Monterra Village for about 2 more weeks the we are moving into a house in Woodland springs up north closer to 170

The mobile guys should be equipped to copy keys for you.
They do, but they charge a service call charge to do so. :321 that nonsense hah

Everythings going great down here. I'm employed, managed to pick up a '06 this past month, and now moving into a house in a few weeks. Things are happening very quickly down here. Hows everything up there?

There's A-1 locksmith store off Cooper st in Arlington near UTA. Charge me $7 to cut a duplicate for me. They are a store and do mobile service also. Recommend them highly.
I think I called them and they said they closed that shop, maybe I heard wrong. Ill check again

I've been to Yamaha of Texas a couple of times, just for oil and such and some various supplies but haven't had a problem. My dad purchased a bike from them when he was down visiting and trailered it back to Iowa with him, had no problems with them then either. Must just have been lucky I guess. Ill call both dealerships and see what their price is, either one will be a nice Saturday ride as long as the rain holds off.

Update: Called the dealers and they do not cut keys. But Yamaha Suzuki of Texas recommended me to who they use for their locksmith needs, Michaels Keys. Went their and got the keys cut no problem and no hassle.

i have 3 blank keys, waiting to be cut. i'd gone Lowe's, Homedepot, Wallmart, and many other Locksmiths (no mobile ones). every single one had refused to do it. they supposedly have a policy for making copies out of blanks brought by the customer. 'cause it they screw up, they can't replace it with the same one.

i'd told them than i won't make them responsible if they screw it up. I knew this could happen (reason why i bought 3). but they still refuse to do it. :cuss

Anyways you may have a better luck than me. :(

Yea thats weird that they still refuse even when you say you wont them responsible. I didnt even want to try the lowes, homedepot type stores for fear they actually would mess them up and being the euro keys I didnt want to chance it. Went right to the locksmith and they didn't even question it. Send em to me and ill get em cut for ya!:lmao
