I have an '09 R6S. I wanna clean all the grease/oil that has accumulated on the kickstand shut off plug. Searched but couldn't find answer. Any suggestions that won't harm the mechanism itself. Thx for any suggestions.

get in there and get dirty. It's just a mechanical switch. It is also the best switch mechanism on any of the bikes out there. It will deal fine with a little bit of cleaner. Just don't saturate it. I would get in there with a paper towel, that is wet with wd-40 or something and just wipe it clean. You will never get all the stuff off without using a spray cleaner. I wouldn't do that though, because as soon as you ride again it will be dirty. Just get the grime off with a paper towel and forget about it.
