Just bought a 2008 R6s and looking for ideas to lighten up the bike without spending big money. Already have fender elimator and flush mount led turn signals. Also what is the best slip on pipe that will give it more of the sport sound without spending 500 dollars?

Lightening the bike significantly can't be done without spending a fair amount of money. If you want the lightest slip-on (that sounds awesome), go with the RaceFit Slash Cut. It's made of Ti and only weighs a few ounces. You won't save any real weight on your exhaust until you also get rid of the cat.

get some carbon fiber wheels, and a 520 kit. Those mods alone will reduce rotating mass and you will accelerate faster, handle better and braking better too.

He said without spending big money... as long as price is no object, get some CMC rotors, you'll save 4 lbs. of unsprung (and rotating) mass off your front wheel alone. The difference in turn-in will be as significant as going with carbon wheels. If you can find it, a ti rear rotor will save you another pound. If you go with and Ohlins rear shock, RCS also makes a Ti spring for it that should be good for more than a 1lb with savings too.
