Anyone have a link with pictures and steps on how to do an oil change on an 07 r6??

look at the HOW TO section.

It's pretty easy.

1. Remove left side fairing (The whole left side)
2. Unscrew oil drain bolt. Wait until all has drained.
3. Replace oil drain bolt and tighten to 28.8 lb-ft.
4. Replace fairing.
5. Fill with clean oil.

Yah, replace the filter between steps 2 & 3.

Did you lose your manual (or never have one)? The toughest part by far is getting the left side panel off, with all the little pushpin connectors and whatnot. The online copy of the manual is here:

^ I changed my oil yest. and there are no push pins on my 05...I only had to take off the lower fairing and that was it.

be careful when taking the plug out and putting it back in...i definitely cracked my pan putting the plug back in....get a torque wrench...it will save you some money

Well, the bodywork on an '05 is different than that on an '07. You're lucky if you don't have to deal with all those attachment points. It's easy enough to get to the plug without completely dismounting the panel, but not the filter.
