locking it up?

Im new to the site, as well and the sport scene. im 20 and have been riding for 2 years...cruisers. and now im getting a 08' yzf-r6S. well, i live at an apartment in a safe neighborhood..(except for the the recent stealing of car catalytic converters). im just really paranoid of somebody picking my bike up. now, beyond just chaining it to the poll underneath my parking garage what other precautions could i take? thanks for all your help, and srry if this is in a inappropriate section or had been asked before. thanks.
