Washed my bike the other day and now low beams won't light up. They spark when I start it but won't catch. Was thinking fuse blew but wouldn't that make it not even spark? Haven't had a chance to take seat cover off and look at wiring. Brights and everything else work fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Power wash or hand wash? Hids or halogens? And sorry I'm on my phone, what year is the bike?

I hand washed it but sprayed it with a regular water hose. It's a 2006 R6 and they are HIDs. Thanks for the help.

Did you check your HID wires and double check that they are loose or hopefully didn't get wet?

You can try dielectric grease on the connectors too, may have got a little water in them.

was it the first time you washed it after installation of hids?

I've had that happen before, on both my truck and my bike. When it happened to my bike one of the wires to my ballast got pinched and was arcing (the positive and negative wires). And when it happened to my truck the ballast itself was fried.

I would recommend checking your connections, putting some dielectric grease on them. And then swap the ballasts from one side to the next to try to determine if you have a faulty ballast or bulb. I hope some of this helps.
