I just got back from riding up to a local lake @ around 5000' elevation. Took my wife with me (riding on the back of my bike is like candy to her). I was really close to 1000 miles and decided to open her up a little. The best word I can come up with to describe the R6 is 'capable'. It's like a little hungry animal eatin' up the road. I was taking the twisties fast and felt very comfortable. There's a four lane highway running up the side of the mountain for about half the trip. One section is a looong straightaway and I opened her up. Two people on the bike going up hill and we quickly hit 130 before I decided to let off the throttle. In comparison my old '93 FZR seemed to take forever to approach those speeds. I really enjoyed taking the corners today. This bike feels so smooth cornering.

Anyways, I'm beat. Time to have a :drink and rest my sore :moon

Later.
