if i were to guess the headset would act like a bluetooth reciever, where as the box would act like the bluetooth transmitter I.E. the box acts like the cell phone, the headset acts like one of those bluetooth dongle things important people wear 24/7 to look important.

just a complete guess though so dont take my word for it.

its not chatter box at all. its called"scala rider team set". by cardo systems, inc. cellphone & intercom headsets. no you dont have to buy anything else this head set will hook up to any bluetuth cell phone.

The is on from a company called Benchmark Helmets (Benchmarkhelmets.com), they have the Camos 500 2ch Bluetooth and the 600 3ch bluetooth. Unless you know other people with this brand of headset all you need is the 500 and its 50 bucks cheaper. I like it better than anything scala because 1. it can recieve Stereo (Scala is only mono) and 2. you can pair it with a mp3 bluetooth transmitter (Scala doesn't take stereo and mp3 transmitters only transmit in stereo so.....)

I dont know if you bought your chatterbox yet...but i have the blueant and its nice but only thing is that you can only talk between 2 people but its good its voice activated so if you dont want to talk just dont say anything but its ok the chatterbox is big on the side of the helmet when the blueant is small...
